Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Sourdough Baker at PureKnead Bakery, located in Newcastle Upon Tyne. The Sourdough Baker will be responsible for preparing, mixing, and baking high-quality sourdough bread/pastries in alignment with the bakery's standards. Daily tasks include measuring and mixing ingredients, managing dough fermentation, shaping loaves, and operating baking equipment. Additional duties involve maintaining a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety regulations, and collaborating with the bakery team to meet production goals.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Bakery and Baking techniques, with a strong focus on sourdough production
Experience in Food Preparation, ensuring consistency and quality
Knowledge of making different baked goods, particularly Bread and Vennoiserie
Attention to detail, time management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to follow recipes and production schedules accurately
Physical stamina to handle the demands of bakery operations, including standing for extended periods
Previous professional baking experience is advantageous
