Role Overview

At Park Cottage, Mental Health & Wellbeing Practitioners play a central role in delivering and supervising the team to provide high‑quality, recovery‑focused support to individuals with complex mental health needs. The service offers a safe, supportive, and rehabilitative environment for up to eight residents, with a strong emphasis on empowerment, independence, and community integration.
Responsibilities
* Provide one‑to‑one and group‑based support tailored to individual recovery goals.
* Use your lived or professional experience to build trusting, empathetic relationships.
* Support individuals in developing life skills, managing routines, and engaging with their communities.
* Work closely with health and social care professionals to ensure coordinated, holistic care.
* Supervise and support staff, offering guidance, reflective practice, and informal coaching.
* Take responsibility for managing the building and overseeing service delivery in the manager’s absence.
* Ensure that support is delivered in line with Penumbra’s values of Compassion, Courage, Curiosity, and Collaboration.
Qualifications & Experience
Experience in mental health support and staff supervision is essential. You will be part of a supportive and values‑driven organisation that invests in its people. Full training, regular supervision, and opportunities for professional development are provided.
