HR-0046-26
We are looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative Finance Business Partner with excellent communication skills and a positive, solutions‑focused approach.
The Role
Working as a trusted business partner to senior managers and their teams, you will provide core aspects of the Finance function including budget setting, forecasting and review, reporting and delivering management reports to support effective decision making, closure of accounts, completion of financial returns and finance project work.
You will be responsible for delivering good financial control and management by ensuring financial regulations and practices are consistently and robustly applied.
Your Profile
You will be a technically capable and confident accountant, qualified with CIPFA or an equivalent professional body. Your background will include management accounting, financial analysis or business partnering, and you will be comfortable working with financial systems and reporting tools. The role requires someone who communicates clearly, works well under pressure and is able to influence senior stakeholders with confidence. You should be proactive, adaptable, and ready to challenge assumptions where needed, always bringing a ‘can‑do’ approach to supporting the services you work with.
You will join a friendly, professional and well‑regarded finance team that is highly valued by the organisation. The work is varied, stimulating and rarely the same from one day to the next. We pride ourselves on being a supportive and flexible employer, offering a competitive salary, generous annual leave, hybrid working opportunities, a Local Government Pension Scheme, strong work–life balance policies and ongoing support for your professional development.
