Job Description
* Someone who works under minimal direction and participates in marketing and business development of new opportunities.
* Responsible for working on the development and production of commercial real estate forecasts.
* Must have econometric capabilities, an understanding of commercial real estate and regional markets, familiarity with forecasting, and the ability to work in database and programming environments.
* Researches local and regional economic issues, and provides consultation regarding the development of dynamic regional and local economies, as well as urban and rural regeneration.
* Proposes solutions to issues such as labour markets, education and skills, deprivation and social inclusion, inward investment and business development.
* May draft and prepare reports based on project outcomes.
* Highly experienced professional with full project management authority and accountability for larger, more visible, more complex projects.
* Demonstrates exceptional competence and achievement over a sustained period in this field.
* Possesses technical excellence in a speciality area that is critical to the success of the firm.
* May possess full technical control over the project.
* Sources and follows up on business development leads.
* Supervises the work of others and conducts performance evaluations.
* Financial and project management goals are defined by the organisation annually.
Qualifications
* Experience: A proven track record in some/all of the following areas: economic strategy, feasibility studies, investment plans, business case development, financial modelling, and real estate analysis. An interest in working on international projects is welcomed.
* Client relationships: An awareness of how to work with clients in a range of situations and assume a client-facing role on projects.
* Analysis & problem-solving: Experienced economists who can deliver robust outcomes for clients using a range of techniques.
* Project management: Ability to lead and organise teams to deliver analysis and reporting for our projects.
