Public Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are currently working with a highly regarded independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Dorchester who are looking to recruit an Audit and Accounts Senior to join their growing team.

Working as an Audit and Accounts Senior, you will undertake a varied and hands on role, gaining exposure to a diverse client portfolio across multiple sectors. You will play a key part in leading audit assignments and supporting the preparation/review of statutory accounts, whilst also assisting with the supervision and development of junior team members.
The role will include leading audit assignments from planning through to completion, alongside year end accounts preparation and supporting corporation tax work.
The ideal candidate will be ACA / ACCA Qualified (or at finalist stage) and will have experience working within a UK accountancy practice, with the ability to lead audits and manage a busy workload.

Duties and Responsibilities Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion Preparing audit plans and ensuring audit objectives are met Identifying audit risks and contributing to audit planning and fraud discussions Overseeing audit fieldwork, reviewing work papers and finalising audit files Preparation and/or review of year end statutory accounts for limited companies Supporting the preparation/review of corporation tax returns where required Acting as a key point of contact for clients and assisting with client queries Supervising and developing junior members of staff ACA / ACCA Qualified or Finalist Proven experience working within a UK accountancy practice Experience of leading audit assignments Strong communication skills and confident client interaction Organised, proactive and able to work to deadlines Culture and Values
