Junior Vehicle Technician – Family-Run Garage, Lewes
We are recruiting for a Junior Vehicle Technician / Apprentice Technician / Trainee Mechanic to join a well-established, family-run independent garage in Lewes.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or develop their career in the motor trade. You will be working alongside experienced technicians in a supportive workshop where training and progression are a key focus.
Whether you have basic workshop experience, college training in automotive studies, or are already working as a Trainee Vehicle Technician, this role offers the chance to grow into a fully qualified technician.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with servicing, maintenance, and repairs of vehicles
* Support qualified technicians with diagnostics and workshop tasks
* Carry out basic mechanical work under supervision
* Learn to use diagnostic equipment and workshop tools
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment
* Follow health and safety procedures at all times
* Develop skills through hands-on training and mentoring
Requirements
* Interest in becoming a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
* Basic mechanical knowledge or automotive qualification (preferred but not essential)
* Willingness to learn and develop new skills
* Positive attitude and strong work ethic
* Ability to work as part of a small team
* Full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential at junior level)
