Role: Secondary English Teacher
Location: Haringey
Salary: £150-£250 per day
Start Date: September 2024
Contract Type: Long-Term, Full Time
GSL Education is seeking a passionate English Teacher to inspire and educate secondary school students at one of our renowned client schools in Haringey, London. As an integral member of the English department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality education in English language and literature, fostering critical thinking, creativity, and essential skills among our students.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
* Deliver engaging and effective English lessons to students.
* Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students.
* Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic and personal growth.
* Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the English curriculum and share best practices.
* Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and success.
* Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development sessions.
The successful candidate will possess:
* Teaching certification or qualification (PGCE, QTS) for secondary school.
* Prior experience teaching English to secondary school students.
* Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment methods.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* DBS on Updated Service
