Location: Coventry (Hybrid Working Model - typically 3 days on-site per week, subject to change)
Role Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to embed compliance under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) by managing the end-to-end process for Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR), Pre-Action Protocols (PAPs), and other information requests from third parties (e.g., solicitors, government departments) and employees. This is a high-priority function, as the organisation is legally bound to respond within strict statutory deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Take full ownership of the end-to-end process for responding to DSARs, PAPs, and other third-party information requests.
• Analyse and review employee master data and other sensitive information to ensure compliant, accurate, and timely responses.
• Work independently and proactively, managing your own workload to meet tight legal deadlines.
• Collaborate effectively within an existing team of 5, reporting to the Process Delivery Manager, and consider wider team needs.
• Communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation and with external parties (solicitors, DWP, etc.).
• Utilise strong analytical and critical thinking skills to make swift, risk-based decisions.
• Ensure meticulous organisation and prioritisation of a complex and sensitive workload.

Skills & Experience:
• Proven experience in a similar compliance-focused role or within a highly sensitive business area.
• In-depth knowledge of data subject access rights, specifically the “right to access” under GDPR.
• Exceptional ability to work autonomously, taking full ownership and responsibility for deliverables.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent influencing and organisational skills.
• Resilient and energetic, with the ability to deliver high-quality results under significant time constraints.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Agile, with high integrity and a positive, collaborative impact on colleagues and the organisation.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
• A relevant degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience working within an HR Shared Service environment.
• Hands-on experience with People Data systems, specifically SuccessFactors.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience using a range of tools within Adobe Acrobat for document redaction and management.
• Demonstrable project management and problem-solving skills, particularly in overcoming technological challenges that could impact statutory deadlines.
