Job Introduction

East Durham College is seeking a passionate and skilled Trainer/Coach to deliver high-quality arboriculture short courses across the North East. If you have strong industry experience and a desire to support learners and employers with practical, responsive training, we'd love to hear from you.


What You'll Do:

* Deliver and assess arboriculture short courses both on-site and off-site.
* Work closely with employers to tailor training to their needs.
* Maintain high success rates and learner satisfaction.
* Plan and prepare schemes of work and session plans.
* Track learner progress and maintain accurate records.
* Promote safe working practices and ensure health & safety compliance.
* Support learners with SEND and adapt teaching techniques accordingly.
* Stay up to date with industry standards and best practices.
* Uphold safeguarding, equality, diversity, and British Values.


What We're Looking For:

* Level 3 qualification in arboriculture.
* Relevant NPTC and technical competence awards (e.g., CS30, CS38, MEWP).
* Teaching qualification at Level 3 or above (or willingness to work towards).
* Significant industry experience and a passion for mentoring.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
