Night and Day Tyres Ltd is a family run Mobile Tyre Fitting company specialising in Plant, Agricultural, Truck, Van and Car Tyres within North and East London and the Home counties. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tyre Technician to join our friendly team. In this role, you will be responsible for the Fitting, repair, and maintenance of tyres for a variety of vehicles for our customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and be comfortable using both hand and power tools. This position requires physical stamina for heavy lifting and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
Duties
* Inspect tyres for wear and damage, ensuring safety standards are met.
* Remove and replace tyres on vehicles using appropriate tools and equipment, including Large Plant, Agricultural, Truck, Van and Car Tyres
* Balance wheels to ensure smooth operation and reduce wear on vehicle components.
* Repair punctures and other tyre-related issues as needed.
* Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
* Provide outstanding customer service by answering questions and offering recommendations regarding tyre care and maintenance.
* Keep accurate records of services performed on each vehicle.
Requirements
* Proven mechanical knowledge with an understanding of vehicle systems related to tyres.
* Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting as required, including lifting tyres weighing up to 50 kg and manoeuvring Heavy Plant tyres
* Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with customers effectively.
