Job Title: Finance Officer
Employer: Norfolk Rivers Trust
Purpose: To ensure the smooth running of daily financial processes, maintaining accurate and compliant financial records, and assisting the Head of Finance in meeting all internal and external reporting deadlines.
Responsible to: Head of Finance
Line Management: No direct reports at this time
Location: Based from the office at Bayfield near Holt with some Hybrid working.
Job term: The position is at 0.8 FTE, with a full-time option available for an exceptional candidate. Appointment is subject to a six-month probationary period.
Hours of work : 30 Hours (0.8FTE) over a minimum of four days between Monday and Friday. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required, for which time off in lieu can be taken. No overtime will be paid.
Annual leave entitlement: 25 days (pro rata) plus public holidays.
Salary: £33,366 to £35,835 pro-rota
Pension: NRT offers a contributory pension scheme and will pay 9% of salary subject to 6% employee contribution.
Driving licence and vehicle: All applicants must have a full driving licence and access to their own transport with business insurance.
Right to work in UK: All applicants must have the right to work in the UK.

About the Finance Officer Role
We are looking for a motivated Finance Officer to join our team and support the day-to-day accounting functions across Norfolk Rivers Trust and its trading arm Rivers Ecology Limited. In this role, you will work closely with the Head of Finance, helping to maintain accurate financial records, provide timely reporting, and support project teams with budget monitoring. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone keen to learn, develop, and implement new systems and technology to improve efficiency, while playing a key role in helping the Trust achieve its mission to protect and enhance our water environments.
