This is aexciting opportunity for a permanent, full-time 8a Clinical /CounsellingPsychologist to join Early Intervention in Psychosis Services (EIP) in Worcestershire. We are seeking a highly motivated and skilledpsychologist who has the knowledge, experience, and leadership skills toprovide a valuable contribution to our team.The position is an opportunity toprovide leadership for psychological interventions in this client focussed,dynamic team. Assessment, formulation, and consultation, as well as theprovision of group and individual based therapeutic interventions are centralaspects of this role. You will lead asmall team of psychological therapists and work closely with MDT colleagues tooffer NICE recommended psychological interventions to individuals experiencing,or at risk of experiencing, a first episode of psychosis.
Thisrole offers the opportunity to work closely with the teams Clinical Lead andsenior leadership in further developing various pathways within the service, inline with national standards for EI services. The post holder will beinstrumental in supporting local and national audit and service development.Research undertakings are encouraged and supported, whether individually, insupporting national research studies or through the close links that the teamhold with local academic courses. The service is county wide so the ability tomeet the travel requirements of the role is essential.

Main duties of the job
The postholder will be an experienced clinical/counselling psychologist qualified to adoctorate level.
Beresponsible and accountable for the direct provision of a systematic clinicalpsychology service, offering specialist psychotherapies, clinical and researchsupervision. Lead in the development and organisation of psychologicalinterventions within the service, offering training and clinical supervision toother staff and students who are actively involved in the planning, deliveryand evaluation of psychological interventions.
Provide specialised psychological assessments, includingpsychometric assessments as appropriate, treatment and management of patientswith a varying range of severity and complexity of psychological problems andpsychiatric disorders. Undertake risk assessments and risk management ofindividuals and provide advice to other professionals on psychological aspectsof risk assessment and management.
Interpretcomplex psychological data from a variety of sources and provide specialistadvice and consultancy to patients relatives, carers, other involvedprofessionals, and support staff who work in health, social care, voluntary andindependent services.

Qualifications
Essential
14. BSc/BA Honours degree at 2:1 or above in psychology
15. Post graduate Doctorate in Clinical/Counselling Psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) as accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS)
16. Post qualification training in specific, evidence based techniques for use with clients with complex psychological presentations and/or physical health difficulties, across the age span
17. Evidence of regular further professional training and experience as required by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the BPS
18. Eligible for registration as a Chartered Psychologist (Clinical or Counselling) by the BPS
19. Eligible for registration as a Practitioner member of the BPS Division of Clinical/Counselling Psychology
20. Registered with HCPC as a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist
21. I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer

24. A minimum of 2 years of experience working as a qualified Clinical/Counselling Psychologist within the relevant area
25. Sufficient training and experience to be recognised by the Division of Clinical/Counselling Psychology as a suitably qualified psychologist to offer clinical placements to trainee Clinical/Counselling Psychologists
26. Training and experience in the application of psychological knowledge within a number of different specialties
27. Experience of assessing and providing a wide range of psychological interventions to patients presenting with the full degree of clinical severity and across a range of clinical mental health presentations
28. Experience of conducting clinically relevant research
