About the Role
Milk Education is seeking a dedicated and resilient Learning Support Mentor to work within a supportive secondary school setting in Shoeburyness. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting young people who may face barriers to learning, including behavioural, emotional, or social challenges.
You will work closely with identified students on a 1:1 and small group basis, helping them to re‑engage with their education, build confidence, and develop positive behaviours for learning.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide targeted support to students with behavioural, emotional, or social needs
* Build positive and trusting relationships with students to support engagement
* Support students both in and out of the classroom
* Work closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and SENCO to implement support strategies
* Promote positive behaviour and help manage challenging situations effectively
* Monitor and report on student progress and wellbeing
Requirements
* Experience working with young people (school‑based or alternative settings preferred)
* Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach
* Ability to build rapport and act as a positive role model
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* A genuine passion for supporting young people to succeed
