Spare Parts Manager
Department: Aftersales Department - Passenger Cars
Report To: Head of Aftersales
Work Location: Uxbridge, England, UB8 1DH (Fully Office-based)
Responsibilities
* Leading a team to ensure the profitability and efficiency of the department
* Liaising with China on any related parts issue or product related query
* Supporting retailers with general part queries
* Regular customer and key partner contact and reviews
* Manage the spare parts operations from inventory control, pricing policy and warehouse & logistics management
* Receiving inventory Billing & Refunding Customers Data Entry (domestic, import and export shipments)
* Maximize profit through the effective operation of the parts team in UK, which includes developing and negotiating with local parts and logistics suppliers in EU&UK
* Ensure smooth logistics and minimize order-to-delivery lead time
* Accurate forecasts to ensure maximum availability of inventory ensuring that there is sufficient supplies
* Identify and evaluate suppliers who can offer replacement parts that match the quality of the originals
* Prepare monthly and annual sales plans and targets and evaluate all activities for the department
* Able to travel as required based on business demand
* Create monthly and annual operational reports including P&L
* Manage the accessory programme in the UK market
* Comply with all company health & safety/ COSHA safety regulations
* Mange parts stock turn
* Support deal structure and pricing with business value analysis, negotiation prices for proactive bids and proposals
* Continuously review processes and carry out gap analysis to always continuously improve
* Carry out quarterly team members one-to-ones
* Manage team members holidays and sickness in line with the BYD HR policy
* Represent BYD in a professional manner at all times
* Any other reasonable duties requested by your line manager.
Qualifications
* Strong automotive parts business background (parts, accessories and other products)
* Minimum Bachelors degree in a technical/engineering/management field of study
* 5+ years of experience in a similar role in automotive/ E-mobility within importer or OEM.
* Organized with communication skills and an understanding of differences between countries, cultures, regulations. Self-learning, the ability to discover and solve problems.
* Solid knowledge of Excel. You should be comfortable with basic formulas (e.g., VLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables) to clean and organize data.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
* High-level attention to details, time management and accuracy.
