We are seeking an organised and proactive Medical Student Administrator to join our Employee Support and Development team. This role is key in ensuring smooth delivery of medical student placements and training within our practice.
Main duties of the job
Communicate confidently with patients to encourage participation in student training, including discussions about sensitive medical conditions.
Liaise with clinicians, teaching staff, and external stakeholders, including the University of East Anglia, to coordinate student placements and activities.
Manage administrative tasks under pressure, meeting deadlines and prioritising effectively.
Maintain accurate records and communications using NHS email, Word, Excel, and Teams.

Job responsibilities
Organise Smartcards, ensuring that the minimum access rights are provided to perform job function
Obtain evidence of satisfactory DBS check
Ensure confidentiality agreement and Information Governance Policies have been read and acknowledged
Issue pre-placement induction letters for students to notify ENMP of any dietary, religious, health, learning or physical needs
Meet and greet students on their first day and undertake familiarisation and layout of building to include fire exits and fire assembly points
Ensure a quiet space is available for the purposes of religious observance
Provide and maintain excellent relationships with students throughout placement
Plan attendance schedule informing rota manager of training dates
Plan training schedule for Physician Associates who are on placement and students undertaking work experience
Contacting patients from a database and booking them in for the following week
Calling patients in at short notice
Confirming patient attendance
Sending letters of confirmation to patients
Greeting Patients and assisting them to the correct rooms
Maintain and update carers register
Raise awareness with patients and staff
Maintain accreditation for the Carer Friendly Tick Award
Attend Carers meetings and provide admin support as required by Carers Lead
Undertake role as Carers Champion
Ensure Carer Champions training is kept up to date
Support initiatives that improve identification and engagement of unpaid carers within the practice population
