About us
White Rose is a registered UK charity retailer founded in 2010 by two Nottingham Trent university students to support the work of Aegis Trust. Aegis is a UK registered charity, that aims to prevent prejudice and resolve hate fuelled violence and mass atrocities through peace building programmes in communities worldwide.
At White Rose we welcome volunteers from all backgrounds, as we actively support Aegis in their mission to prevent discrimination and identity-based violence worldwide.
White Rose support Aegis by selling handpicked, high quality, pre-loved fashion and accessories in our stores across Nottingham, Beeston, West Bridgford, Sheffield, Derby, Newark, Leicester and Leeds. 100% of the profits generated by White Rose goes to support the work of the Aegis Trust.

We're looking for volunteers to help lead our Upcycling team at our Newark Store. You will work closely with the management and wider volunteer team to repair, customise, and upcycle our generously donated, but unsaleable, clothing and textiles, transforming them into new garments and allowing us to sell them in our stores.
It is our mission to make every donation count, and our volunteers make a real difference to help us achieve this. If you are motivated, hardworking and keen to learn new skills or share your knowledge, experience and talents, come to support an amazing cause
Knowledge and experience of basic DIY sewing skills is helpful for this role, but not necessary, as full training will be provided. This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in gaining experience in fashion design, garment making, and sewing.
