Job Title: Customer Service Assistant

Chelmsford City Council is committed to providing excellent waste and recycling services to our community. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Assistant to join our Customer and Business Support team.

If you have a passion for helping others and possess the skills necessary to deliver outstanding customer service, we want to hear from you!


Responsibilities:

* Providing high-quality customer service via phone, online, and face-to-face interactions.
* Addressing all enquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
* Supporting administrative tasks, including data entry, record keeping, processing payments, and handling financial transactions.


Requirements:

* Experience in active listening to fully understand customer needs.
* Demonstrated empathy, patience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
* Effective conflict resolution skills, especially when dealing with challenging situations.
