About the Role: Supervise and actively engage children during Breakfast and After School Club sessions, creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive atmosphere. Prepare and serve breakfast and snacks, encouraging healthy eating habits and good table manners. Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities such as games, crafts, and quiet time that promote children’s social and emotional development. Support and encourage positive behaviour by using effective strategies to foster cooperation, kindness, and respect. Maintain the safety and wellbeing of all children by adhering to safeguarding and health & safety guidelines at all times. Set up and clear away resources and equipment before and after sessions, ensuring a clean and organised environment. Build and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and school staff, helping to foster a strong sense of community and trust. Assist with administrative tasks including attendance records and incident reporting as required by the school. The ideal candidate will: A sincere enthusiasm for supporting and working with children Friendly, dependable, and approachable, with a consistently positive attitude Able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team Strong communication and interpersonal skills A basic awareness of safeguarding and child protection (training available if needed) Prior experience in a childcare or educational setting is desirable but not required Willing to complete an enhanced DBS check Why Work with Supply Desk?
