Qualifications & Experience:
* Social Work qualification (degree or equivalent).
* Registration with Social Work England.
* Previous experience within fostering, children's social care, or child protection services.
* Sound understanding of safeguarding, child development, and relevant legislation.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.

We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Supervising Social Worker to join our team and play a vital role in supporting our foster carers and the children in their care.
Position Overview:
As a Supervising Social Worker, you will be responsible for managing and supporting a caseload of foster families. You will provide supervision, training, and ongoing support to ensure carers have the knowledge and resources necessary to provide high-quality care to children placed with them. In addition, you will work collaboratively with local authorities, external agencies, and our internal team to facilitate effective placements and ensure the wellbeing of children in care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Recruit, assess, and train prospective foster carers in accordance with regulatory and agency standards.
* Conduct comprehensive assessments of prospective carers, including home visits, interviews, and background checks.
* Provide regular supervision, support, and guidance to approved foster carers, including home visits, meetings, and crisis support when required.
* Develop and review care plans for children in placement, working in partnership with foster carers, local authorities, and other professionals.
* Monitor the safety, wellbeing, and progress of children in placement, ensuring their individual needs are being met.
* Maintain clear, accurate, and timely records in line with regulatory requirements and agency procedures.
* Attend team meetings, case conferences, and professional development sessions to enhance skills and share best practice.
