Chichester Festival Theatre are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join our Finance team. This is an exciting new role that will quickly become part of our wider team, working across all areas of finance. Supporting the Management Accountant, you'll work with budget holders and their teams to provide timely and relevant financial information and analysis. We're looking for someone with proven financial experience or relevant exposure in a similar role, who will be flexible and adaptable in their approach. Key Responsibilities Management Accounts, Analysis & Reporting: Assist and support the Management Accountant with the preparation of accurate monthly management accounts, detailed analysis, and other reports Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and schedules forreview Calculate, prepare, and post monthly journals Support the maintenance of the Fixed Asset register and the preparation of the monthly depreciationjournals Assist and support the preparation of the quarterly VAT returns, reviewing transactions at the end of eachmonth Contribute to the year-end audit schedules and reconciliations, taking an active part in providing information required Collate data and information as needed for external reporting requirements including monthly ONS surveys Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger & Banking: Reconciliation and posting of daily Box Office banking Raise monthly and ad hoc sales invoices for approval Provide consistent hands-on support for the purchase ledger process - when required Support and assist with the reconciliation and settlement of credit card statements and expense claims Contribute to the upgrade of our accounting system project to complete the testing and review of our transactions, and the development of changes in process Person Specification Essential Criteria Excellent communicationskills Experience of working within a financedepartment Strong attention todetail Intermediate Excelskills Strong understanding of general accountingprinciples Ability to work independently as well as part of ateam Qualifications Qualified by Experience, part qualified, AAT qualified or equivalent To apply Please visit our website for full details of about the role then email your CV and a covering letter, or video, by midnight on Sunday 11 May quoting job reference: 2504AMA in the subject line.
