**Head of IT Change - £100-140K base + benefits (car allowance, bonus, PMI etc.) – Surrey, with some UK travel**
We are recruiting a Head of IT change on behalf of one of our clients. The Head of IT change will be accountable for scoping and delivering all IT Portfolio projects; some “small change” activities, and support and maintenance of all IT applications.
There will be multiple IT Portfolio projects to scope and deliver each year, amounting to multi-million-pound investments. Management of the Group application estate involves supporting off the shelf and in house developed systems across multiple environments, significant annual budgets, contract and supplier management, developing forward plans to maximise efficiency and service to our users, and ensuring value for money.
This role will lead and manage sizeable teams and will be expected to drive a high-performance culture, actively managing staff development and ensuring that appropriate structures, policies and processes are in place to deliver an enterprise grade IT environment and services.
Main responsibilities:
* Scoping and ensuring successful delivery of technology-enabled business change initiatives
* Accountable for maintaining the availability and performance of all Group IT applications
* Responsible for defining and maintaining the Group IT applications architecture and technology roadmaps
* Identifying and escalating key IT application risks, ensuring mitigation plans are implemented by the team
* Supplier and contract management
* Team management and development
Essential skills and experience:
* Experience of leading strategic, business enabling IT activities working in partnership with business units and functions
* Experience of managing and working with applications teams servicing large IT estates
* Experience leading teams maintaining, developing and supporting integrated ERP based applications environments
* Experience leading teams maintaining, developing and supporting interfaced standalone applications-based environments
* Experience in delivering IT change programmes and projects working to structured project management methodologies
* Background in dealing with and actively managing software suppliers
* Thorough understanding of applications licencing and legal considerations including experience in contract negotiations and vendor management
* A track record of planning and managing £1m+ budgets
* Experience working in a hybrid IT estate including both on premise and cloud-based environments
* Experience of managing relationships at all levels up to board level
