Job description
We are currently seeking to recruit a Yard / Stores Assistant located at Moy You will work with our Stores Operative in assisting in the day-to-day management of the stores and yard areas.
Responsibilities
1. Loading and unloading vehicles
2. Working within health and safety policy and procedure
3. Keeping both the stores and yard areas clean, tidy, and safe always
4. Ensure safe storage of all materials and equipment to manufacturer's specification
5. Ensure materials and inventory are well organised and check upon receipt of goods for any damages or discrepancies
6. Ensure that all stock inventory records are kept up to date and perform weekly stock checks
7. Report any faults in any equipment or goods
8. Assist with general labouring duties as required from other departments
Criteria
9. Previous experience in a similar role would be preferred but not essential.
10. Forklift qualification; or ability to qualify for license
11. Full UK driver licence
12. Knowledge of safe manual handling techniques and procedures
13. Ability to work both inside and outside, and in all weather conditions
14. Willingness to take and to follow instructions; both written and verbal
15. Excellent organisational skills
