We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer to work at the Ashford Common - TW15 1RU Water production site. The successful candidate will carry out planned maintenance on mechanical assets across various sites, including fault-finding, diagnosing, and fixing critical asset failures.
Key Details
* Base Location: Ashford Common - TW15 1RU
* Working Pattern: 38 hours, Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 3:36 pm, plus standby rota with additional pay
* Essential: Valid UK driving license
* Equipment Provided: Vehicles, PPE, tools
Responsibilities
* Maintain pumps involved in water transfer and chemical dosing within water treatment works
* Investigate and repair mechanical plant failures promptly
* Perform scheduled maintenance to improve plant resilience
* Provide technical advice and support to team members and trainees
* Participate in a 24/7 standby rota after training
Candidate Requirements
* Experienced in mechanical systems, NVQ or C&G Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering, with additional NVQ2/3
* Experience with large industrial plant equipment beneficial
* Knowledge of health and safety standards
* Full UK driving license essential
