We have partnered with a leading manufacturing customer in their search for a new hands-on IT Manager. This role requires an individual who has a wealth of technical knowledge and is keen to continue rolling up their sleeves whilst also offering a voice of leadership and direction within the team. This role could be the perfect fit for an individual who has previous management/leadership experience but could also be suitable for someone who is looking for that next step.
Role responsibilities and skills:
1. Responsibility for the day-to-day management of the factory IT support teams.
2. Provide technical support to and mentor IT team members.
3. Set and implement the strategic direction for IT services and infrastructure.
4. Manage the operation and maintenance of all corporate computer systems in conjunction with colleagues in multiple locations.
5. As an IT shared service, provide highly reliable services mainly required for factory IT.
6. Provide operational support for specialist systems as may be acquired by the company.
7. Support the introduction of new systems and applications, coordinating the actions of external partners and internal departments to ensure successful implementation.
8. Ensure company systems conform to industry standards of compliance and licensing.
9. Knowledge of Microsoft 365, Entra ID/Active Directory, Azure, InTune, and Teams.
10. Manage network configuration LAN, WAN, VPN, Firewall, Wi-Fi.
11. Maintain network cybersecurity. Understand how to mitigate security risks. Manage SOC provider. Implement and maintain cybersecurity measures in the OT environment.
12. Understand virtual environments (VMware).
13. Manage company data and maintain backups and off-site storage.
14. Maintain standards such as TISAX accreditation for information security compliance.
15. Knowledge of MS SQL management and clustering.
16. Hands-on experience with PCs, laptops, and general peripherals.
