We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Commercial Sales Administrator to join our sales team on a full time, permanent basis.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative and account support to our UK national & international commercial teams, by processing sales orders and shipments, ensuring customer expectations are exceeded throughout.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Receive customer orders and enquiries by telephone, email, EDI and fax
2. Responsibility for processing high volumes of orders for all customers - UK, subsidiaries and Overseas in the agreed lead time
3. Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to foster loyalty and retention.
4. Deal with document filing in a timely and efficient manner
5. Liaise with Planning, Factory and Warehouse on relevant issues regarding availability and delivery
6. Supply stock availability information to Account Managers and customers when required
7. Support the commercial sales team with administrative customer data requests, including producing reports and presentations
8. Develop and drive through business process improvements
9. Process sample sheets for commercial and international customers
10. Supply delivery information and deal with carrier enquiries
11. Supporting the internal account managers with general operations to help reach the team’s objectives
12. Ensure excellent service is given both internally and externally
What are we looking for?
1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) software.
2. Previous experience in sales administration or relevant administrative roles.
3. Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
4. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
5. A proactive approach and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
6. Knowledge of SAP would be an advantage
7. Good basic standard of education required (GCSE level minimum)
8. A further administration (or similar) qualification would be advantageous
9. Any IT qualifications would be a benefit (ECDL or similar)
