Cameron House is a residential service providing specialist dementia care for older people. As Deputy Manager, you will work alongside the Service Manager to support the effective leadership and day-to-day management of the service, ensuring high standards of dementia care, strong staff supervision and safe, well-run operations.

This role combines operational leadership with a strong focus on quality, people management and continuous improvement within a dementia care setting.

What you will do

* Support the Service Manager in the day-to-day management of the service
* Maintain and promote high standards of person-centred dementia care
* Deputise for the Service Manager when required
* Manage, supervise and support staff through regular supervision and appraisal
* Support recruitment, induction, absence management and staff development
* Ensure care delivery meets regulatory, organisational and quality standards
* Support medication management, ordering and safe administration
* Assist with rota planning, staffing levels and operational oversight
* Contribute to service development, partnership working and quality improvement planning
* Ensure health and safety procedures and policies are followed at all times

About you
You will be an experienced care leader with a strong understanding of dementia care and residential service management. You must hold an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care and be registered with the SSSC. It is desirable that you are working towards or already hold an SVQ Level 4 in Social Services and Health Care and are prepared to work towards an SVQ Management Qualification in Care Services. You will be confident supervising staff, maintaining standards, and supporting the Service Manager to deliver safe, compassionate and effective dementia care.
