As a Pharmacist at our hospital, you will be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council and you will have proven post-qualification experience. It is also important that you have excellent communication and people skills, as you will be working closely with our patients and a variety of clinical staff.
The Clinical Pharmacist is responsible for optimising medication therapy and promoting safe, effective, and cost-efficient drug use within the hospital. The role involves direct patient care in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to improve treatment outcomes and minimise medication-related problems.
As a Pharmacist, you will:
* Join our talented multidisciplinary team
* Deliver high-quality clinical care and advice where it's needed
* Offer services to a range of departments, including the pre-assessment clinic, outpatient department, ward and theatres
* Participate in ward rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings
* Educate patients on the proper use of prescribed medications
* Conduct medication reconciliation and drug utilization reviews
* Document clinical interventions and outcomes
* Provide drug information and training to healthcare staff and patients
* Ensure compliance with hospital policies, national regulations, and accreditation standards
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and medication safety programs
* Report adverse drug reactions and medication errors
As a Pharmacist, you will have:
* Strong knowledge of pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, and disease management
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team

Located in the heart of the West End of Glasgow; you will be working at one of Scotland's leading private hospitals.
