Overview
Contract HR Advisor role at Belcan for the Filton site. 35 hours per week (flexible between 7am–7pm). Temporary contract until 22/09/2026, with possible extension. Security Clearance: BPSS + Clearance (completed by Our Client's Security Team). IR35 Status: Off-payroll working rules apply. Location: Filton – 60% onsite.
About the Role
An exciting opportunity to join the HR team supporting a dynamic group of HR Business Partners. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity for someone looking to grow and develop as an HR practitioner in a large organisation. Reporting to the HR Business Leader for the Filton site, the HR Advisor will act as a primary interface for employees and line managers, ensuring consistent application of HR policies and prompt resolution of queries.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the first point of contact for employees and line managers.
* Advise managers on recruitment and selection strategies.
* Support employee relations topics including capability investigations, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
* Assist with annual HR calendar activities.
* Provide advice during work reviews and change processes.
* Use HR systems (e.g., Workday) to access, input, and compile data.
* Manage employee relationships and expectations.
* Collaborate with hiring managers and other HR team members.
Skills & Experience
* Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
* A proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate and address business issues.
* Confidence, persuasiveness, and adaptability.
* Experience in employee relations and case management.
* Strong IT and data analytics skills for evidence-based decision-making.
* Familiarity with Google Suite and Workday (preferred).
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
* Customer orientation and responsiveness.
