Job Summary
We are looking for a highly organised Bookkeeper to support financial operations across a portfolio of businesses. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, managing transactions, and ensuring timely reporting. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to support smooth day-to-day financial processes.
Duties
* Maintain accurate financial records across multiple entities
* Record day-to-day transactions including invoices, payments, and receipts
* Reconcile bank accounts and control accounts regularly
* Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
* Prepare and review VAT returns
* Assist with payroll processing where required
* Produce regular financial reports and summaries
* Support month-end and year-end processes
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as needed
* Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations
Qualifications
* Previous experience in bookkeeping or a similar finance role
* Strong understanding of accounting principles
* Experience working with multiple sets of accounts (preferred)
* Proficiency in software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Ability to manage workload across multiple priorities
* AAT qualified or part-qualified
* Experience in a fast-paced or multi-client environment
* Exposure to VAT and payroll processes
