Team Leader – Therapeutic Children’s Home (Tettenhall, Wolverhampton)
Salary: £28,000–£29,000 base approx. £8,000 sleep-ins (paid £70 per sleep, avg. 8–10 per month)
Total average earnings: £36,000–£37,500
Hours: Full-time, 173 hrs/month, 2-on 4-off rota (8am–11pm sleep-in 11pm–8am)
Annual Leave: 224 hours Nurture Anniversary Day
The Service Specialist therapeutic children's residential provider supporting young people aged 6–17 who have experienced trauma. Homes are warm, nurturing, and operated by clinical and operational professionals with strong trauma-informed practice.

Role Overview Team Leaders hold responsibility for daily decision-making in the home, ensuring high-quality therapeutic care and leading staff on shift. The role combines safeguarding, team leadership, and direct work with children to promote safety, stability, and positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead shifts confidently, supporting and guiding team members
* Contribute to therapeutic care plans, risk assessments, reviews & TAC meetings
* Provide consistent, trauma-informed care and promote a safe, nurturing environment
* Support children’s routines, emotional needs, and daily living tasks
* Maintain safeguarding standards and regulatory compliance
* Work collaboratively with the clinical and management team
* Ensure clear communication and effective handovers
* Participate in training, development and reflective practice
* Join the rota and on-call system as required
Requirements
* Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Children’s Residential Care (or enrolled with an end date)
* Minimum 1 year residential childcare experience
* Passion, resilience, patience and commitment to therapeutic care
* Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills
* Understanding of safeguarding, regulations and trauma-informed practice
* Full driving licence (held for over 2 years)
* Enhanced DBS (funded) and satisfactory references
