Our client, a well-established and growing manufacturing business within the precision engineering sector, is currently seeking an experienced Technical Sales Manager to join their commercial team. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically minded sales professional to work with a respected manufacturer supplying high-precision components and engineered solutions to a range of industries.
Working in a consultative sales environment, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities while managing and growing key customer relationships across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow revenue within the precision engineering and manufacturing markets
* Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities with OEMs, engineering companies, and manufacturing clients
* Manage the full sales cycle from initial enquiry through quotation, negotiation, and contract award
* Build strong relationships with key decision makers including engineering managers, procurement teams, and technical stakeholders
* Interpret technical drawings and customer specifications to propose suitable manufacturing solutions
* Work closely with internal engineering and production teams to ensure customer requirements are fully understood and delivered
* Prepare accurate costings, quotations, and technical proposals
* Provide regular sales forecasting, pipeline updates, and market intelligence to senior management
* Attend customer meetings, site visits, and industry events to promote the company’s capabilities
* Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and project follow-up
Requirements
* Proven experience in a technical sales role within precision engineering, CNC machining, or advanced manufacturing
* Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and manufacturing processes
* Demonstrated ability to win new business and grow existing accounts
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
* Commercially driven with a consultative sales approach
* Comfortable managing a mix of new business development and account management
* Full UK driving licence
* Excellent commission scheme with strong earning potential
