Salary: Other Band 7 Agenda for Change Scale. The commencing salary will be within Scale, starting at £47,172 with increments at 2 years and 5 years to the top of scale £53,980, plus a market supplement.
We are welcoming applications for the role of Senior Force Nursing Advisor with Dorset Police, based at the following locations: Police Headquarters, Exeter, and Winfrith, Dorset.
Devon and Cornwall and Dorset Policing Alliance are recruiting a Specialist Practitioner in Occupational Health (SCPHN) to work within an in-house Occupational Health service, delivering comprehensive Occupational Health services.
The successful candidate will be a senior member of the Occupational Health team, providing high-quality, evidence-based clinical advice to Managers, Staff, and Officers of Devon & Cornwall Police. Responsibilities include advising on physical and psychological fitness for work, offering health and wellbeing guidance, and supporting internal and external customers and contractors. The role involves becoming familiar with various police roles through induction and proactive team engagement. The Centre for Work and Health plays a strategic role in delivering the organisation's wellbeing initiatives.
A key aspect of the role is deputising for the Occupational Health Nurse Consultant and potentially the Lead Occupational Health Nurse Consultant, serving as a role model in clinical care, leadership, mentorship, and clinical supervision, ensuring high standards of service delivery and staff wellbeing.
We seek a committed, enthusiastic, and relationship-oriented individual. You will receive support from our senior management team within a collaborative in-house Occupational Health environment.
