Mechanical Estimator
to their team. The Role:
As a Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical elements of building services projects. You'll work closely with the pre-construction, design, and commercial teams to ensure that all tenders are thoroughly reviewed, costed, and submitted on time. Key Responsibilities: As a Mechanical Estimator you will prepare detailed mechanical estimates for a range of M&E projects. You will review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to assess scope and risks. As a Mechanical Estimator you will liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations. You will attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings as required. As a Mechanical Estimator you will support the handover of successful tenders to the delivery team. You will work collaboratively with the electrical estimating and commercial departments. Assist in value engineering exercises and cost-saving proposals. Requirements: As a mechanical estimator you must hold be Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline. Proven experience in mechanical estimating within the M&E or building services sector. Strong understanding of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, heating, etc.). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Ensign, Estimation) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
