Quantity Surveyor role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our growing Commercial team. In this role, you will play a key part in the successful commercial management of projects, ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
* Cost Control: Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to capture, analyse, and control project costs.
* Client Collaboration: Collaborate with clients to ensure business requirements are met.
* Contract Management: Manage the main contract, including issuing notices and correspondence.
* Subcontract Administration: Prepare and issue subcontract documentation.
* Subcontractor Management: Assist in managing and evaluating subcontractor performance.
* Payment Management: Oversee the preparation and approval of applications for payment.
* Financial Planning & Analysis: Prepare project budgets, forecasts, and cost‑value reports.
* Mentorship: Guide and develop junior commercial team members.
* Continuous Learning: Actively seek out and engage in professional development opportunities.
* Positive solutions: Approach challenges constructively.
Requirements
Essential:
* Degree or equivalent.
* Working towards or have chartered membership of a recognised institution.
* Experience in utilities/civil engineering/MEICA sectors.
* NEC3/4 Experience.
Desirable:
* Experience of managing and developing an individual or small team.
* Knowledge of CEMAR.
