Director of Mathematics – Parrs Wood High School
Parrs Wood High School, a leading comprehensive school within Greater Manchester, is seeking an ambitious Director of the Mathematics Faculty. The role is a senior leadership position responsible for driving high standards of teaching, learning and achievement across Key Stages 3 to 5, including the A Level provision.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead strategic curriculum design, assessment and quality assurance for the Mathematics faculty.
* Line‑manage and develop a diverse team of teachers and support staff.
* Collaborate with colleagues to set high expectations, support evidence‑based practice and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
* Analyse data to identify attainment gaps, maximise progress and inform whole‑school improvement.
* Serve as a role‑model practitioner by maintaining a high standard of classroom teaching and a proven record of raising achievement.
Qualifications & Experience
* Strong background in Mathematics curriculum development and assessment.
* Demonstrated leadership experience, including line management of teachers or other staff.
* Excellent organisational and analytical skills with the ability to motivate students and staff.
* Commitment to safeguarding, child protection and the wellbeing of children and young people.
