We are looking for a reliable and safety-focused Yard Marshall / Banksman to join our busy transport operation. This is a key role within the yard, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of vehicles, trailers, and staff.
The Role:
* Marshalling and directing HGVs and other vehicles safely within the yard
* Acting as a banksman for reversing and manoeuvring vehicles
* Ensuring all movements are carried out in line with health & safety procedures
* Communicating clearly with drivers and the traffic office
* Monitoring yard activity and reporting any issues or damages
* Keeping the yard organised, safe, and running smoothly
What Were Looking For:
* Previous experience as a Yard Marshall, Banksman, or similar role (preferred but not essential)
* Counter Balance Forklift License (expired or in-house license is fine but must have proof)
* Good awareness of health & safety in a transport environment
* Confident communicating with drivers and colleagues
* Ability to stay calm under pressure in a fast-paced yard
* High level of attention to detail and safety
* Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
* Applicant MUST have their own transport as we are rural and not on a public transport route
Hours & Pay:
* Monday to Friday
* 12:00 19:30
* £13.10 per hour
* 1 Saturday per month 8am-12pm
