Support Worker
Location: Burnley
Hours: 8:45am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Contract: Temporary
Pay Rate: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour
We are currently recruiting for a caring and enthusiastic Support Worker to join a welcoming SEN secondary provision in Burnley. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people with special educational needs to reach their full potential.
The role will involve:
* Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with additional learning needs.
* Assisting the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities.
* Promoting independence, confidence, and emotional wellbeing among pupils.
* Supporting students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs in a positive and proactive manner.
* Working collaboratively with teachers, support staff, and external professionals to ensure each child receives the best possible support.
The ideal candidate will:
* Have experience working with young people with special educational needs (SEN) or additional needs.
* Demonstrate patience, empathy, and strong communication skills.
* Be adaptable, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
* Be passionate about helping young people develop both academically and personally.
