Job Summary
Up to a $1,000 sign‑on bonus available*\. Baptist Health is looking to add a Medical Assistant in our Baptist Primary Care Beachwalk office in St. Johns, Florida. This is a full‑time opportunity, Monday‑Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
The experienced candidate will perform back‑office Medical Assistant duties, such as rooming patients, obtaining vitals, and assisting provider.
Responsibilities
* Provides nursing assistance to physician
* Obtains vital signs
* Greets and chaperones patients during medical visit
* Rooms patients and completes tests
* Handles phone triage, takes messages, returns calls
* Discharges and schedules next visits
Experience Requirements
* 1–2 years of patient care experience
* Experience in a physician’s office
Education & Credential Requirements
* High School Diploma/GED required
* Associate of Arts/Science preferred
* Basic Life Support (BLS) required
* Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred
License and Certification
* Driver’s License – DMV
* Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA
* Certified Medical Assistant – any credentialing institution
Background Screening
Positions designated as requiring a Level II Background (detailed fingerprint‑based screening for positions of trust that check state (FDLE) and national (FBI) criminal history) will undergo screening as a condition of employment and continued employment.
