About the Role
Being a Deputy General Manager with us is about learning every aspect of running a great pub while supporting the General Manager to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
You’ll play a key role in leading the team, supporting daily operations, and developing the skills and confidence needed to step into a General Manager role in the future.
This is a hands-on, people-focused role where no two days are the same and every shift is a chance to learn and grow.
Deputy General Manager Responsibilities

Support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the pub
*
Lead shifts with confidence, setting standards for service, food, and hospitality
*
Coach, train, and develop team members to be their best
*
Support stock control, ordering, and wastage management
*
Help deliver labour plans and rotas in line with business needs
*
Play an active role in health & safety and licensing compliance
*
Build strong relationships with guests and the local community
*
Step up to run the business in the General Manager’s absence
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone with the right attitude, ambition, and desire to progress:

Previous experience in a Deputy Manager, Assistant Manager, or similar leadership role within hospitality
*
A genuine passion for great food, drink, and guest service
*
A people-first mindset with the confidence to lead and inspire teams
*
Organised, proactive, and keen to learn the commercial side of the business
*
A strong work ethic and positive, can-do attitude
*
Flexible to work up to 48 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
*
