We are seeking a passionate Cover Supervisor who can contribute to the development of strategies to improve learning outcomes to enable pupils to achieve their best. This is a permanent role for 29 hours and 10 minutes per week, term time only. Working pattern: Monday to Friday 8:50am to 3:30pm.
School and setting
James Bateman Middle School is a “good school” (Ofsted – July 2023). We are focused on high expectations, supporting pupils across all areas of the curriculum, and developing resources and strategies to help pupils succeed. The successful candidate will have experience of working with KS2/KS3 pupils and knowledge of supporting a wide range of special educational needs in a mainstream school.
Responsibilities
* Organise and provide a range of support strategies for pupils who need help to overcome barriers to learning, both inside and outside the classroom.
* Maintain clear and efficient documentation to support meetings and pupil progress.
* Support the ongoing development of Dyslexia Friendly School strategies and contribute to creating new resources.
* Work under the direction of senior staff in a rapidly developing team that supports pupils across the curriculum.
Requirements and qualifications
* Experience working with KS2/KS3 pupils.
* Knowledge and understanding of supporting a wide range of special educational needs in a mainstream school.
* Energetic, self-motivated, enthusiastic, with a positive outlook and a collaborative approach to improvement in SEND outcomes.
Terms and salary
* Permanent – Term time only
* Hours: 29 hours and 10 minutes per week
* Salary: pro-rata £17,588; FTE £25,183
* Pupil age range: 9 – 13
