Mobile HGV Technician Location: Newcastle upon Tyne Salary: Up to £41,496 Basic + Overtime + Excellent Benefits Hours: Monday to Friday, Full Time Ref:30691 We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mobile HGV Technician to join a growing fleet operation covering the Newcastle upon Tyne area. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled commercial vehicle technician who enjoys working independently and providing high-quality maintenance and repair services directly at customer sites and roadside locations. Mobile HGV Technician Responsibilities
* Attend customer sites and roadside locations to diagnose, service, and repair commercial vehicles
* Carry out routine inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance
* Diagnose and repair faults across engine, transmission, braking, suspension, and electrical systems
* Use modern diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve vehicle issues efficiently
* Complete repairs to manufacturer and company standards
* Accurately complete job cards, service reports, and maintenance records
* Provide excellent customer service while representing the business professionally
* Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with health and safety requirements
Mobile HGV Technician Requirements
* NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
* Previous experience as an HGV Technician, Mobile HGV Technician, or Commercial Vehicle Technician
* Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
* Experience using modern diagnostic equipment
* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Full UK Driving Licence (HGV licence advantageous but not essential)
* A proactive approach and commitment to delivering high-quality work
