Job Description
We are working in partnership with our Legal client to recruit a Document Production Assistant to join their team on a full time, permanent basis, based in Edinburgh.
What you’ll do
* Produce and format a range of legal and court documents to a high standard
* Create, edit and update complex documents, reports, spreadsheets and presentations
* Transcribe audio dictation files accurately and efficiently
* Apply company templates and house styles to documents, compare and track changes using relevant software (e.g., Deltaview)
* Convert documents between formats (e.g., PDF to Word), clean metadata and troubleshoot formatting issues
* Proofread and quality-check all output to ensure accuracy and consistency
* Accurately log jobs in the workflow system and adhere to service level agreements
* Collaborate with team members and contribute to ongoing improvements in workflows and procedures
What you’ll need
* Prior experience in a document production or administrative role within a professional services setting
* Experience of working with Court documents is essential
* Skilled in Microsoft Office, digital dictation, and formatting complex legal/court documents
* Strong attention to detail, organisation, and communication skills
* Comfortable handling sensitive information with discretion
* Proactive mindset with an interest in process improvement and working collaboratively
