What you will do: Manage a complex caseload of adults with learning disabilities and/or autism, including individuals with high levels of need and risk. Undertake statutory assessments, care planning, reviews, and safeguarding enquiries. Apply a strengths-based, person-centred approach that promotes choice, control, and independence. Lead on complex casework involving risk management, mental capacity assessments, and best-interest decision-making. Complete Mental Capacity Act assessments and participate in best-interest and Court of Protection processes. Provide professional supervision, mentoring, and practice guidance to social workers and practitioners. Support newly qualified social workers and contribute to practice development within the team. Work collaboratively with health professionals, families, carers, and partner agencies. Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings, safeguarding forums, and decision-making panels. Maintain accurate, timely, and legally compliant records and reports. Contribute to service development, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
