About the role
Workday Integrations Consultant (Senior Associate) – Work within a team of integration consultants on a project, supporting the successful delivery of integration solutions for the cloud‑based Workday HCM system.
Responsibilities
You will document, implement, deploy, and support integration solutions within a Workday implementation project. Your role includes developing and sharing expert knowledge of the Workday product and integration platform toolset, as well as HCM / Financials business domain knowledge. You build strong relationships with customers to understand their requirements, ensuring that the integration solution is aligned to their needs, fit for purpose, and commercially viable. You mentor junior team members in Workday integrations.
Minimum (essential) Requirements
* Proficiency with XML, XPath and XSLT, and knowledge of an object‑oriented programming language (preferably J2EE).
* Good understanding of cloud computing, web services and associated integration challenges.
* Good customer focus with experience in a client facing environment; ability to understand customer needs and build relationships, and ability to identify when to raise issues.
* Consulting skills such as presenting, workshop facilitation, or explaining functionality to customers.
* Clear and effective communication skills with credibility and empathy, including in a remote working situation. Proficiency in English.
* Good commercial awareness and sound understanding of project and business dynamics.
* Awareness of Kainos’ story and wider business offering.
* Awareness of company strategy and how to support it.
* Attention to detail.
* Ability to work within remote teams and alongside customers, as well as independently with limited supervision.
* Capacity to plan own workload and meet deadlines.
* Application of relevant standards and procedures to maintain high quality and accuracy at all times.
* Understanding of confidentiality, non‑disclosure policies and ensuring information security.
* Willingness to learn about international regulations and practices in depth.
* Willingness to travel to work with customers on site and collaborate with colleagues from other offices.
* Ability to propose improvements to tools and/or processes to help the practice.
Desirable
* Workday HCM certification or experience with similar HCM / ERP systems.
* Proficiency in other middleware or integration platforms.
* Experience designing workflows to solve business and technical problems.
