Estate Operative
You will be working as part of the wider Facilities and Estates Management Team carrying out planned external property maintenance.
What you’ll be doing
* Your main jobs will be Gutter Cleaning, Fencing Repairs and Weed clearance.
* We have a ‘first time fix’ approach to all maintenance task
* To work in line with the Great Places operating principles for estate Maintenance, liaising with customers and/or colleagues to promote a culture of continuous improvement
* Contribute to and comply with all statutory legislation, licences and accreditations including the relevant Safety Management System applicable to estate Maintenance (training provided)
* Contribute to and comply with all relevant environmental, waste management and monitoring arrangements (training Provided)
* The correct and proper use of all relevant mechanical and non-mechanical plant & equipment including fleet vehicles, tools, work wear, PPE and other relevant equipment (training provided)
* Periodic monitoring and basic maintenance of the relevant fleet vehicles as required by the Fleet Co-ordinator
* Contribute to the development of a core range of materials, consumables and individual vehicle stocks to meet the demands of the estate maintenance service
* Contribute to and use the relevant mobile working solution for job allocation, data transfer and collection
* To promote additional services, and other initiatives as appropriate, within the team and to customers where appropriate.
* Liaise with Customer Services staff on safeguarding issues.
* To carry out other duties that fall within the wider role as directed by the Estates Management Team.

* You will be need to attend a number of face to face training sessions as well as some on-line training and e-learning as part of your role this is just as important as the day to day job.
* Sometimes we might need you to work flexibly and outside normal working hours to ensure service continuity (normal working hours8am-4pm Monday- Friday)

What you’ll need
* A full UK driving licence
* Experience in a similar role or customer service role is desirable
* Good communication skills
* Experience of working using a mobile hand-held device
* Knowledge of construction related Health, Safety & Welfare legislation (desirable but not essential – training will be provided)
