Our Catch22 College comprises 8 sites across the country delivering academic and vocational training for young people aged 16+ who are not suited to mainstream college settings. These sites provide a supportive environment to build confidence, skills, and self-belief, helping learners achieve their goals. We exist to help our learners find their future.
Job Description
As Lead Teacher, you will provide effective leadership and management at a specific site for a College serving 14-19-year-olds, ensuring a safe and secure educational environment for students with complex needs and behaviours.
You will manage the educational environment, support and motivate students with complex needs, and deliver a high-quality, aspirational curriculum.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
* Teaching GCSEs in Maths and/or English
* Building effective relationships with students and families/carers; fostering trust and support within the educational process
* Managing and monitoring the timetable to deploy staff effectively, ensuring learner success
* Overseeing and developing your subject area
* Planning and updating schemes of work to meet curriculum, inspection, and accreditation standards, complying with DfE and regulatory guidance
Leadership and Management
* Analyzing performance data and reporting to the Centre Manager; taking action on underperformance
* Leading initiatives to improve teaching and learning quality, following observation procedures
* Managing contribution review processes, setting KPIs, and conducting staff supervisions
* Supporting staff development to deliver outstanding teaching and learning

Qualifications
* Recognized QTS qualification (or willingness to work towards)
* Designated Safeguard Lead
* Experience working with young people with complex needs and behaviours
* Line management experience, including setting KPIs and conducting supervisions
* Extensive knowledge of teaching, learning, and behaviour management strategies, including personalized learning approaches
Additional Information
Contract: Full-Time Permanent
Hours: 37 per week
Salary: £31,980 - £38,000
Specific Requirements
* Must have a driving license and be able to drive
