Due to expansion, we are looking for a caring, reliable, and motivated Nursery Assistant/Childminding Assistant to join our warm and nurturing Home Nursery. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and robust safeguarding knowledge, ensuring children's safety, wellbeing, and development are always a top priority. A minimum of 1 year experience working with children under the age of five is essential, along with the ability to support high-quality play-based learning and work positively as part of a small, supportive team.

About the Role:
You'll support the home nursery with daily routines, activities, school runs and outings, helping to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating space for children aged 15 months- 5 years. You'll also take sole charge of the children during school run hours so confidence and a responsible attitude are essential.
You need to have a good knowledge of the EYFS and safe-guarding.

Car driver with a full, clean driving licence (preferred)

Paediatric First Aid Certificate - Is Must
Enhanced DBS Check - Is a Must
Safeguarding Training – however this will be provided as part of your role.
Hours & Benefits:
Looking for one part time assistant to work the following shifts;
8am-3pm
9am-4pm
9.30am-4.30pm
Need to be able to work all 3 of these shifts
Half hour lunch break
Two 15 min breaks
Term time only 38 weeks per year
Two weeks off at Christmas
Six weeks off in the Summer
All Bank Holidays off

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing childminding assistant to provide exceptional childcare in a small loving and safe environment with two other childminders from their home in Rainham. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for working with children, demonstrating strong management and leadership skills. This role involves caring for children of various ages from 15 months-5 years, ensuring their safety, development, and well-being while fostering a positive atmosphere. We are open to a childminder assistant who has their own child under 5, providing they can maintain a healthy work balance. You will need to be fit and healthy and enjoy exercise.
Responsibilities
* Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities to promote learning and development.
* Plan craft activities and days out.
* Prepare snacks, ensuring dietary needs are met.
* Maintain a clean and organised environment for the children, including tidying up after activities.
* Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and any concerns.
* Assist with homework and educational activities as needed.
* Provide transportation for children on outings if needed.
* Implement routines that promote structure and discipline while encouraging creativity and play.
Requirements
* A full UK license and car driver is essential.
* Proven experience in childcare or nursery settings is essential.
* Background in early childhood education is highly desirable.
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
* An Enhanced DBS
* Pediatrics first aid training certificate within the last 2 years
* Ability to manage multiple tasks while ensuring children's safety at all times.
* Leadership qualities to guide children in their daily activities effectively.
* A genuine love for working with children, demonstrating patience, empathy, and enthusiasm.
