Job Description
This is a rewarding opportunity to work within a specialist SEN setting, supporting pupils with a range of complex needs. You will play a key role in helping pupils develop not only academically, but also socially and emotionally, enabling them to achieve their full potential.
You will be part of a supportive, multi-disciplinary team, working closely with therapists, support staff, and families to deliver a holistic approach to education. The role requires creativity, flexibility, and a commitment to adapting teaching approaches to meet each pupil’s individual needs.
This role requires staff to:
* To discharge a full, broad, balanced, and relevant curriculum to all pupils
* Ensure that all pupils have all necessary means to access the curriculum and fully participate in activities
* Identify and adopt the most effective teaching approach for individual pupils.
* Monitoring teaching and learning to ensure progress towards the learning outcomes identified on the EHCP.
* Supporting pupils’ personal, social, and emotional development
* Attend mandatory training and agreed CPD
Essential skills required:
* A well-organised and understanding individual with a person-centred approach
* An outstanding classroom practitioner
* Previous experience of working within a school environment
* A full teaching qualification (QTS)
