We are recruiting for a Deputy Manager to join a well-established 4-bed Children's Residential Home supporting young people aged 8-17 years.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced senior or team leader ready to step up, or an existing Deputy Manager looking to grow within a supportive, child-centred environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home
* Lead shifts and manage the home in the Manager's absence
* Safeguard and promote the welfare of children at all times
* Ensure compliance with Children's Homes Regulations (2015) and Quality Standards
* Supervise, mentor, and develop staff performance
* Contribute to audits, inspections, and quality assurance processes
* Build strong relationships with Local Authorities, schools, and professionals
* Support young people's emotional, social, and educational development
* Promote a safe, nurturing, and structured environment
Requirements
* Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People's Workforce (Essential)
* Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or willing to work towards)
* Experience in a children's residential setting
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Sound knowledge of safeguarding and Ofsted regulations
* Ability to lead by example and create a positive culture
