Internal Communications Manager (Commercial) - Swindon Summary INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY PLEASE Salary: £45,000 pro rata. Duration: This is a fixed term contract due to end when the previous employee returns from maternity leave. At this point we cannot confirm exactly how long this contract will last, but it is unlikely to be more than 12 months. Hours: Full time, working 37.5 hours per week. We are seeking to create a step change in engagement directly with those who work in our Commercial functions, which include our cafes, retail shops, and holiday cottages and campsites. We want to celebrate the brilliant work they do, as well as enable more integration in the work of the Support & Revenue Directorate and in the wider National Trust context. A successful internal communication approach will involve listening, planning ahead but flexing as need, and being consistent in messages across channels. As a result, we want all of our people to feel inspired and valued and to bring joy to our members, visitors, and guests through the work they do. What you'll be doing As our Internal Communications Manager – Commercial, you will have a fantastic opportunity to shape the way we communicate with a staff base of over 5,000 people, who all do varied roles across hundreds of our places to deliver the National Trust strategy. You will be part of the Commercial Leadership Team, contributing to the financial foundations of the organisation and enabling memorable experiences at our places. Be able to work collaboratively with key stakeholders within the organisation to improve engagement through a variety of different channels, ensuring the message reaches everyone at the Trust. Have a strong background of delivering communication in digital, print and face to face channels within a large organisation. A good understanding of web tools and applications such as social networks, SharePoint, Microsoft Office, and Adobe.
